However, 1 in 2 U.S. families with young children struggles to afford clean diapers, creating significant challenges for both the child and their caregivers.

In our local area, many families face financial hardship when it comes to purchasing diapers. Without clean diapers, babies are at risk for health issues like diaper rash and infections, and parents may be forced to miss work or school to stay home with their child. With an average cost of $80 per month per child, the expense of diapers can add up quickly, making it difficult for families to meet this basic need.
Why Diapers Matter
Lack of access to clean diapers can lead to:

- Barriers to Childcare and Employment: Many childcare facilities require parents to provide a day’s supply of diapers. Without this, parents may be unable to work or attend school.
